The Heritage of Caucasian Albania

With the thrilled honor Leo Burnett Azerbaijan has developed and implemented an outstanding project of a brand new premium wine product series related to the history of the ancient Azerbaijani state — Caucasian Albania, with its legacy, historical and cultural heritage — The Heritage of Caucasian Albania

Azgranata is the largest producer of wine and vodka products in Azerbaijan, with a wide range of product lines and an established distribution system both in Azerbaijan and abroad. Winner of several international awards. The main producer of pomegranate wines.

Over the years, Azgranata has supported several historical and archaeological expeditions to maintain the historical values of wine production as a craft. Wine lands and plantations in the Agsu region were organized and restored, and a large number of cultural and historical monuments associated with winemaking were restored.

CAUCASIAN ALBANIA

Caucasian Albania is an ancient state in the Eastern Transcaucasia. It occupied lands in the lower reaches of the Araks and Kura rivers, covered the northern regions of modern Azerbaijan and a significant part of Dagestan, and reached the coast of the Caspian Sea. The population of Caucasian Albania (Albanians, Udins, Gargars, Gilas, Legis, etc.) spoke the languages of the Lezgin branch of the Nakh-Dagestan family. The state was formed in the 2nd century BC. e. based on the unification of 26 tribes. Until the 6th century A.D. e. the capital of Caucasian Albania is Kabala, then Barda (Partav).

Unfortunately, due to the unpopularity of this issue, most of the historical and cultural values of Albania were assimilated and appropriated by Armenia.

HISTORY

The aim of the project is the correct and competent positioning of the historical value of the state of Caucasian Albania as an integral part of the history of Azerbaijan.
Christianity, winemaking, craft, writing - all this is an integral part of Caucasian Albania, and as a result, a valuable historical canvas of Azerbaijani history.
In recent decades, the issue of Albania has left the field of active scientific activity, throwing into the background the relevance of studying this topic, the assimilation of the last Albanian church of the Gregorian dioceses at the beginning of the 19th century, and as a result of the wide area of the Albanian heritage. This creates several problems with the correct positioning of the history of Azerbaijan and, as a result, touches upon the issue of Karabakh, which in the course of recent events is more relevant than ever before.

With the presence of high technologies, the development of the Internet, and unhindered access to a huge amount of information, people do not want to conduct analytical work, compare and contrast historical sources, conduct in-depth analysis, the quantity and quality of the content produced following the requirements of today's multimedia products favorably accelerates the formation of views and beliefs in certain matters.
Advertising stands at the crossroads of technology, psychology, business, propaganda, and art. Collaborating with leading technology flagships in the film industry, audio industry, digital services, etc.

THE CAUCASIAN HERITAGE

As a result, of a series of regular archaeological expeditions related to ethnographic and cultural peculiarities of wine production led by the support of Azgranata, a huge number of objects and household tools were studied, including amphorae with their content, wine barrels with residues of essential oils — Angel's share (La part des Anges)*
various church rituals of ancient Albania associated with the use of wine in churches for official tasks.
As a result, a recipe for monastic Albanian wines was recreated, which is a unique product in terms of taste and positioned characteristics.

We propose to develop a brand of the legend of Caucasian Albania.
To demonstrate the historical status of wine and winemaking in Azerbaijan, widely characterizing the features and values.
Legends of Caucasian Albania is a long-term advertising communication company, the purpose of which is to present the entire history of socio-economic, cultural, religious, political, and historical aspects of the state of Caucasian Albania.
