Aztelekom rebranding & repositioning

As Azerbaijan’s state-owned national communications carrier, the Aztelekom LLC renders various data and communications services to individuals, corporate clients, telecom carriers, and other customers.

Being recently tasked by the Government to accelerate development of innovative telecom and IT services in the regions of the country, Aztelecom has sought to rebrand and reposition itself in order to better reflect its new priorities.

After winning the bidding, Team Trade Mark Leo Burnett Azerbaijan started developing and formalizing a new brand’s platform by crafting its unique style and identity. The key task was to present the new image of the Aztelekom as a reliable, modern national carrier of communications services in Azerbaijan.

The symbiosis of the main features is embedded in the logo are:

  • "Play" (video content) as the main driver for the development of Internet speed
  • "The map of Azerbaijan", which symbolizes the coverage of Aztelekom services throughout Azerbaijan.
  • "Quotation mark" - characterizing uninterrupted communication and ability to complete a phrase 

The design was highly appreciated and became one of the major works on the rebranding of public institutions in 2016.
